Aggregate for Paje construction

Paje building work ranges from small hospitality extensions and rental villas behind the beach to new lodges and roadside commercial units. Most of it needs aggregate for three things: structural concrete in foundations, columns and slabs; blinding; and compacted sub-base beneath floors, terraces and parking areas.

Tell us which element the aggregate is for. Concrete aggregate is selected against the mix and the reinforcement spacing your engineer has drawn, while sub-base and drainage need different material. We confirm the grading in writing on the quotation rather than assuming.

Site access and tipping in Paje

Access from the main coast road is generally straightforward. The final approach is where Paje plots differ: beach-side sites often sit behind soft, loose sand tracks that a loaded tipper should not attempt. In those cases we agree a firm drop point near the road, or plan smaller loads.

Prepare a clean, firm tipping area away from loose beach sand so the kokoto does not pick up fines and contamination before it reaches the mixer. Keep the stockpile clear of the access and away from sand intended for plaster or mortar.

Truck scheduling and phased loads

Many Paje owners build through the low season and finish before guests return, so aggregate is often needed in a tight window. Order against the pour programme: one load per slab or foundation stage is usually more practical than one large stockpile on a constrained plot.
