Cement is the one material on site with a shelf life, so supply is a scheduling problem as much as a purchasing one. Build Hub supplies bagged cement in Zanzibar — currently Dangote CEM II 42.5N in 50 kg bags — coordinated against your pour and blockwork programme.
Bulk-buying cement months ahead looks like a saving until humidity gets into the bags. In Zanzibar's coastal climate, cement stored badly hardens in the bag and loses strength long before the printed date suggests it should.
We plan cement deliveries against your pour dates and block-laying rate, so the site holds a working stock rather than a warehouse full of deteriorating material.
Cement rarely arrives alone. Ordering it with sand, aggregate and blocks lets us align the deliveries so a pour is not held up by one late component, and gives you a single quotation to check against the BOQ.
Projects rarely order one material alone. These are the categories most often quoted alongside it.

Less than most sites assume in a humid coastal climate. Keep it covered, off the ground and rotated, and plan deliveries against the programme rather than stockpiling.
