Why Michamvi orders are planned differently

Michamvi is one of the furthest delivery points on the south-east coast, reached by a single road down the peninsula. Route length makes small, frequent call-offs uneconomical, so most Michamvi sites benefit from ordering full loads sized to each structural stage and booked ahead.

Resort and boutique hotel sites here often have controlled entrances, security gates and set working hours. Tell us about them when you enquire, so the truck arrives when someone can receive it.

Resort, villa and civil works

• Foundation, column and slab concrete for resort buildings and villas
• Pool shells and terraces where the engineer specifies the grading
• Compacted sub-base for internal roads, parking and service yards
• Drainage and soakaway work using a suitable clean grade

Tipping area and stockpile

A full aggregate load needs a firm, level tipping area with room for the truck to raise its body and pull away. On coral-rag or sandy Michamvi plots, clear and compact the area beforehand and keep it away from excavations and the pool dig.

If several grades are delivered — for example a finer concrete aggregate and a coarser sub-base material — keep separate, labelled stockpiles so they are not mixed on site.
